This has been another good week! It's starting to get cold here so we've busted out the sweaters a couple times this week. We got a referral from the Burleson elders to go see this man clear at the edge of our area, and we're glad we did! That area has like six long streets of mobile homes, and on the two streets that we've tracted we have found 3 potential investigators! That's awesome for a small area btw. The man we had the referral for wasn't interested though. We taught this lady who has no concept of religion, or even what is right and wrong. When we told her that God could talk to her through thoughts and feelings, it blew her mind. She was also amazed that we didn't go out and party and drink or smoke or stuff like that. Pornography got brought up at one point and she said, "You can't even look at naked pictures of girls?" So glad I was raised with morales! Thank you for that. We have also been teaching this man who has had a really rough past and isn't sure if he's a member or not. We found out yesterday that he's not a member so I'm sure he'll be baptized pretty quick here! One of the Browers sons named John had a heart attack sunday, that was intense. He's only like 22 years old. He has had a long history of drugs, including some intense ones like meth. We went up to the hospital and gave him a blessing, which he really appreciated. We have been trying to teach him for a while now, and he said that after this event, he's going to be sitting in with us a lot more. I think this has changed him a lot. God works in mysterious ways, but he loves us and will protect us as we follow him.
thanks for the packages by the way. My companions really appreciate it, especially since we threw a third comp in for ya. Have a great week!
Love, Elder Jardine
