This has been a really good week. Tuesday we had district meeting, then hit up in-n-out. Oh ya I like hamburgers now btw. We also taught this interesting guy who thought he was baptized into the church, but now isn't sure. He's had a rough life and is seeking for truth. He's gone to a lot of different churches though so he's kind of confused as to what is right and what's not. Wednesday we started the day knocking an apartment complex, gave out 3 Book of Mormons, and found 4 potential investigators, it was a really good morning. Wednesday evening we had a lesson with James and Renee Brower, and they're still doing great. thursday was thanksgiving! We had 2 thanksgiving dinners, and went to a third members house to snack a little. We felt bad at the second house because we were so full already. We could tell that she was sad that we had already eaten. Friday we had another thanksgiving dinner @ the Bishops house, but it was just leftovers. We also stopped by a recent convert who is interesting. She married a man after knowing him about 3 weeks, then brought him to church and they got offended somehow. She left the church saying that she was going to go to a non-denominational church from now on, and the next thing we know she's in a coma!! She was in a coma for a week, then spent another week in the hospital. Now she's back home but has to go to physical therapy every day. It was intense. So don't go inactive... just sayin. Saturday was awesome. We had a lesson with the Browers son, John, who claims to be an atheist. We talked all about the atonement and the spirit was super strong. It was an awesome lesson, and we could tell that he was interested. After the lesson we were driving somewhere to tract and Elder Whittier told me to turn on a random street, so I did. Then he said to stop in front of a house, which I did. He knocked it and found a super interested potential investigator. Pure inspiration right there! Then we went across the street and met another interested lady! After that we went to our 4th thanksgiving dinner, and ended up teaching a lesson there as well! It was such a sweet day. Sunday after church we had an appointment, and taught the Plan of Salvation to this older Mexican woman. It fasinated her. The spirit was strong in the lesson, and it really got her interested in reading the Book of Mormon. After the lesson we helped her set up her Christmas tree, and she fed us more thanksgiving dinner food! I'm pretty much tired of turkey now lol.

 

Our third companion Elder Gardner is way cool. He's from Washington state and had to go home for glycoma surgery. After six months of being home he's back now and ready to do some kick butt missionary work with us!
