This week has been pretty good. Tuesday Elder Johnson went to the doctor and found out that he has tonsillitis and possibly strep, the Doctor (a member) hooked him up with some amoxicilan and he's starting to do better. We ended up staying in almost all day because he was so sick, I read the entire book of Genesis (don't ask why). Wednesday Elder Johnson had a leadership meeting so I spent the day with the Denton 2nd ward elders! Which was sweet because it was pouring rain, and they have a car
. We went into the gated community, with a security guard, and stopped by a less active with a GINORMOUS (Sp) house. Friday we were able to make contact with a less-active member who is dating a girl who took the lessons @ one point. We're gonna try to get that going again. We also met with a young couple and the husband's dad is a member. They're not super interested, but they're willing to let us come over and talk. We're gonna try to get them into a members home, where it's much easier to feel the spirit, and see if that changes their attitude. Saturday we went to an appointment with Bro. Welcher in his truck, and we took our bikes so we could work the area after the appointment. The people decided that they weren't really interested, so we walked away, got in the truck, and it doesn't start! Bro. Welcher ended up having to call AAA and get it towed! The lady who said she wasn't interested came out of her house and let us try jumping the car, even though we knew it wasn't the battery. It was really lucky that we decided to bring our bikes, because we usually don't do that. We decided that his truck broke because the lady needed a second chance to decide whether to accept or not, and she still didn't, oh well her loss. So ya that was our week. I love y'all and Madi do your homework!!!!
Love, Elder Jardine
