April 16

This has been an awesome week! Tuesday we went on exchange and I was with Elder Farnsworth in his area. We did a lot of tracting and found them some new investigators! In the evening we stopped by some less-active  members and talked to this one lady for like an hour. It was pretty fun. Wednesday morning Elder Nance and Elder Treuter taught our investigator Christina in a members home, which was awesome. One of the things that we had wanted to focus on with Christina is to help her meet some members and be more comfortable for when she comes to church. She hit it off with the member really well which is always cool. Thursday we had a lesson with a new investigator named Ericka. She used to work for a member and she was fired, which when she told us that we were a little worried, but she doesnt hold it against the church or anything. She's a little skeptical about the Book of Mormon, but I know that when she reads it, and if she prays with sincere heart and real intent she truely will gain a testimony of it. Friday was an awesome day though! We had a lesson in the afternoon with Frances, who is very open to all religions and she said that if there was a prophet it could help with a lot of todays problems. In the evening we had a lesson with Augustine who Elder Nance and Treuter had taught earlier in the week. We read Mosiah 27 and taught about the atonement and how it covers everything we've done. The last appointment we had was friday was with a young couple named Bryanna and Travis. They have a strong desire to get back into a church, and really liked the message. Saturday we were out tracting and decided to visit a member close by and he started showing us his gun collection. Elder Nance was in heaven lol. We taught a new investigator named Anthony who wasn't super interested, but I know that as he is reading the Book of Mormon his interest level will increase. Sunday we had stake conference! Waco just became it's own stake like 6ish months ago so there is no stake center for everyone to meet in. We had stake conference in a middle school auditorium, which was cool and kind of weird at the same time. Elder Grow from the quorum of the 70 spoke along with the Dallas temple President and his wife. There were some really good talks it made me wish that we had some investigators there!   Other than that I'm doing well. Hopefully we'll have another awesome week like this one but full of baptism dates and invstigators at sacrament meeting!! That would be sweet. Have a great week I love y'all!      -Elder Jardine
