May 6

This week has been pretty good. It's been really busy. Tuesday we taught half of a family of 7! and 5 out of the 7 are baptismal age!! They don't go to a specific church right now, and seemed pretty open to reading the Book of Mormon, so we're really excited to follow up with them and hopefully continue teaching them.
Wednesday we taught Ms. Thomas, who is a really nice lady. We tracted into her a few months ago and offered her service. A few weeks ago we were finally able to get in contact with her again and help her plant some flowers. We taught her the 1st lesson last week and she seems very receptive. She grew up going to the "Church of God and Christ" and wants to know what the difference between her church and ours is, and if she is going to the right church. She seemed very excited to read the Book of Mormon and we're planning on setting a baptismal date with her for June 8th.
Friday we had our Mission Leadership Council. That is when all of the Zone Leaders and the new Sister Training Leaders gather together and discuss the needs of the mission. Idk if y'all heard about the new Sister Training Leaders or not, a lot of ppl down here asked us about it. They are now calling a few sister companionships in every mission to go on exchanges with other sisters for training purposes, because of the huge increase in sister missionaries. It's pretty cool. We also taught an interesting guy on friday who is very nice, but kind of bashy. We're not sure if he's very interested or not, but we invited him to read the Book of Mormon, which will soften hearts if they have faith.
Saturday we had a meeting with our entire mission, it is the first time that all of the missionaries in the mission have gathered together since I came out. Elder Quentin L. Cook from the quorum of the 12 came and spoke to us, along with Elder Soares from the presidency of the 70, Elder Valazuela from the 1st quorum of the 70, and Elder Villarreal from the 6th quorum of the 70. It was an amazing meeting! I got to shake their hands! They truely are called of God and you just feel a special spirit in their presence. It was a real treat from them to take time to speak with us.
Sunday we had a less-active family come to church! I guess that the mom had sent in a request for missionaries to visit her a few weeks ago, but we never got it. We going out to see them on wednesday though which will be really cool.
I'm looking forward to this upcoming week. We have some good appointments and we're really building the area. Miracles are going to happen this week I know it!
So on sunday we have church at 9, so I was planning on calling home like around 12:30-1 o'clock. will that work for y'all? email me back I'll probably be on for like 15 more minutes.

Have a great week. I love y'all!
