May 21

this has been a long week. Wednesday Elder Nance went to Kileen for a leadership training so I was here with Elder Olson. He's from St. George, UT and is a convert of about 2 years. He's really cool. We tracted most of the day, but in the afternoon we were able to have a good lesson with Samantha and Marc. A member came with us and he was able to fellowship and testify of keeping the commandments, which applied to one of her concerns which was that there are so many rules. We also met with them Thursday in another members home for dinner, then taught the Word of Wisdom after. She's getting baptized this saturday!!! We're so excited. All we need to do is get her interviewed then just plan the baptism! It's going to be a great day. We met with a new investigator wednesday evening named Steve. There were a lot of distractions during the lesson, but it still went pretty well. We have a return appt. with him for next wednesday. thursday we met with Christina in a members home and the Bishop was also there. The lesson went awesome! We had planned on sharing the story of Esther with her then reading Alma 32, but after we got there and started talking we felt impressed to talk on the Word of Wisdom then led into Alma 32. Her concern is that she doesn't want her parents to not support her joining the church, and the Bishop was able to counsel with her on how to bring it up with love and respect. It was really cool to be a part of it. We met with Bryanna and Travis a few times this week as well. Wednesday they told us that Bryanna got a job at a baptist church working in the day care on sundays <-- is what my face looked like after they told us. <-- is what I wanted to do. <-- is what we put on their cars... just kidding! After much prayer and consideration we felt impressed to teach about the restoration again. Saturday night only Travis was home but we went over it in detail and simplified everything so that we were sure he could understand it. We both feel now that he understands that we're not just another church, and that we have the restored priesthood authority on the earth. Sunday night Bryanna told us that she was just a substitute so they still might be able to make it to church this sunday! Yay!! That lifted our spirits for sure. Saturday we were able to go to 2 baptisms and at the second one while the people were changing we taught the restoration to some nonmembers in the room, which was a cool experience. Sunday Elder Nance and I spoke in sacrament meeting, I spoke on service and he spoke on Conversion to the Gospel. We also taught the priests and teachers about being a member missionary, we were pretty busy sunday lol. It was cool though. Well that's about it for me. I love y'all and have a fantastic week!\
   Love, Elder Jardine
