So as y'all can probably tell since I'm emailing today I did not get to go to the temple. the person who was going was going for the first time for his mission, and he was going to be in Dallas all day so we couldn't go. They offered to take us again so we're gonna see if we can set something up. But this week was awesome! Tuesday after district meeting we went on exchange with the zone leaders and I went with Elder Ford! OH but before the exchange we went to this place called "Bad Azz Burritos" as a zone and 5 of the missionaries, including elder Lovato and Elder Ford, ate 11lbs of burrito in under 6 minutes! The previous record was 8 minutes and 2 seconds and they owned that record! It was awesome. The place makes pretty good burritos too. It was funny because an hour and a half after Elder Ford ate the burrito we had dinner, and he was so full! After dinner we visited one of their investigators who had found a bunch of anti on the internet, so we spent like 2 hours talking about our beliefs, and ended up just referring to the Book of Mormon a lot.
Thanksgiving was awesome! We had two families invite us over and by the end of the second we were SO FULL! After dinner we went to visit a a member who is returning from inactivity and he also fed us! so much food! It was all super good though, so I'm not complaining. That same returning member, who's name is Luciano, got his patriarichal blessing yesterday! He's been so excited for it, and we were excited too. His sons went with him, and we're hoping that will spark something in them and cause them to come back too. Friday we had a great miracle! We were visiting a potential investigator that some other missionaries contacted, we taught him the first lesson and set a baptismal date for December 22nd! his name is Al, and he's a junior in high school, so we're going to bring a priest that knows him from school to the next lesson with us, and it's gonna be game over for Al! Saturday we were able to have a lesson with Larry and he's been doing his Book of Mormon studying! We knew the calendar would work!! However he has not picked a baptismal date yet, but he will soon, we know it.
Anyways I think that's it for me, love y'all and have a great week!
Love
Elder Jardine
