This has been kind of a long week. We've been doing a lot of finding, which unfortunately is pretty common right after a baptism. The goal is to just keep the investigator pool full all the time, but it tends to get drained after a baptism. We were able to teach Larry a few times this week. We had planned on setting a date with him for Sept. 29th, but as the lesson went on we could tell that he wasn't ready. We committed him to pray about what day he should be baptized on, and to read the Book of Mormon every day, with or without his wife (who's a member). I did get to go to a district leader training in Fort Worth which was pretty sweet. We learned a lot about leading the way Christ led, and the district leader responsibilities. Tuesday we taught a lady named Chelsea who was pretty solid until we started talking about the Book of Mormon, and then she almost immediately got defensive. She doesn't believe in religion at all, just the Bible. It's pretty surprising how many people believe in the Bible more than they believe in religion or even in Jesus Christ. Right before we got home from church sunday some lady apparently saw smoke on our balcony so she called the fire department, and they showed up about 2 minutes after we got home. We had just enough time to go into the apartment, see that there was no smoke/fire, then come down to talk to them. It made our sunday pretty exciting lol.
Well that's about all I can think of for this week. Next week though the letter is gonna be full of awesome people that we taught!
