Sept 5

GAVIN GREEN WAS BAPTIZED THIS WEEK!!!!!!!! So awesome!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Oh man it was great. He was baptized with a child of record baptism and the room was totally full and the spirit was so strong! He was confirmed on sunday and everything was just perfect! The Lord blessed us so much by allowing us to be a part of Gavins conversion. Not only did another of God's son's enter the gateway to return to live with him, but Gavin is a future priesthood holder, a future missionary, a future church leader. This work is true and it's so wonderful!!

We also started teaching our maintenance man. We had to get our faucet fixed on thursday, and we were there when he came to fix it. We got to talkin to him and he was like, are y'all catholic? We told him that we weren't and talked about who we are and the message that we share with people. He has had a rough past and is trying to get closer to God. We taught him friday night and it was just awesome! We invited him to be baptized and he said that he would when he comes to know that the Book of Mormon is true.

Other than that we have just been working our tails off finding people to teach. Not just people who will let us come back, but people who are prepared to recieve the restored gospel of Jesus Christ. We don't have very much time, and we can't waste it teaching those who aren't going to act on the message. This is the Lord's work and he will put into our path the people who are ready, who are in a spot that they have an open heart and are willing to accept the gospel in their lives. Pray like it's all up to the Lord, and work like it's all up to you. I can't remember who said that, but that's what Elder Ramage and I are doing.

Also we did service for our ward mission leaders neighbor this week! We cut down some dead trees, and they trusted me with a chainsaw for part of it! scary thought I know, but it's ok I'm still intact, and the chainsaw didn't break! it was super cool and the guy appreciated it a lot. He is in bad health and has a lot of land that kind of got away from him.

So this week is the last week of the transfer, so I might be telling y'all my new area monday! Also they say a picture is worth a thousand words, so here are a couple thousand.

the first one is Elder Ramage when we were out doing service
number 2 is Elder Ramage, Gavin, and myself at the baptism.
number 3 is Sister Allred and Sister Martinez who are the spanish missionaries in the district.
number 4 is Elder Olson and Elder Bagby, they really do like each other, they just don't like to show it :P They are also in the district.
