Feb 4

This week has been pretty good. Tuesday I went on exchange with Elder Murdock and we came to my area. It was pretty cool because he also served in Watauga so we got to talk about all the awesome members and good times that we had in Watauga, which was pretty sweet. Thursday we had dinner with the Andrus family, and they are starting a new missionary challenge. The challenge is to drink a 52 oz. milkshake in under 5 minutes. They started it the transfer before I got here so only 2 missionaries have tried it so far. Elder Smith did it in 4:59 and his comp Elder Weese didn't finish. I smoked it and finished the shake in 4:14! She said that she was going to email a picture of it to y'all so that may be coming soon.

the Zambrano family are still doing well. The parents are both working 2 jobs now saving up for the wedding that hopefully will be happening this month. We taught the work of wisdom this friday and the husband gave us all of his coffee. He said that it was going to be hard but if it was a commandment of God that he'd do it. We testified to him that it is a commandment of God and that he can do it. The wife had been telling him already not to drink so much coffee so she loved it.

Sherrie is still on track for baptism on the 16th and can't wait! We're pretty stoked and have already taught her everything, so now we're just keeping her reading in the Book of Mormon and praying every day.

This thursday we had interviews with President Sagers and found out that next transfer they are going to be adding another companionship to our zone, so we're getting ready for that. Friday I went to my first "Zion Mission Council" which is when all the zone leaders in the mission get together will President and Sister Sagers and discuss the needs of the mission. It was super cool and I got to see some missionaries that I hadn't been able to see in almost a year, which is always fun. Sunday we had the "Stake Missionary Coordination" meeting with the Stake President, one of his counselors, High Councilor over missionary work, and Pres. and Sis. Sagers. That was a really neat meeting. We accounted for the work of the missionaries in the Stake, then the stake president accounted for how the members are going to do missionary work. He has some great ideas and I can't wait to see them come into existance.

So President Sagers told us that we're getting 28 new missionaries this transfer, and only 6 are going home. how crazy is that! We're getting the first big wave of all of the youngin's who submitted their papers right after the conference announcement. "The Standard of Truth has been erected and no unhallowed hand is going to stop this work from progressing"! It's so exciting!!
